It is with sadness i write this, My family lived across the road from Kitty and Lol, and so i grew up, along with my Brothers from them. Brian and i are the same age and i used to walk up to top school with him untill he went to the Grammer school. We remained friends along with Roger, Barry and John. He once sent my late husband a Cup Final ticket, and they were ment to meet at the stadium, but something got lost in translation, although they both managed to watch the match. He was a lovely man and i wrote to him when your Mum Passed away. We were always close neighbours and i still have a photograph of their wedding from my late mum. I am thinking of him and yourselves at this most difficult time, please accept my deep sympathy and kindest thoughts, Marlene Bates[ Nee Wileman]

Brian was a founding member of Bicester Road Runners - a running club that gave Brian a huge amount of pleasure.
He was also a founder of the somewhat more eccentric “Bicester Old G*ts” - a swashbuckling bunch of adventure geeks who ran, cycled, orienteered, and drank around UK.
An epic adventure saw Brian leading us around the infamous “Tour de Trigs’ - a very challenging 50 mile run through night and day.
A year long adventure saw Brian coming runner up in the Trailquest mountain bike orienteering national championship - quite a feat.
Then there was the cross country race over the horse trial course in Blenheim Palace.
Epic memories of a truly great adventure companion.

Alan and I were so sorry to hear of Brian's death. I used to go to keep fit with Gill many, many moons ago. We enjoyed our outdoor adventures too: walking and drinking in Blackburn with Jan and Mick Heath and of course The Great North Run when Brian threatened to sleep in his new Mercedes as he was so concerned about the natives of Sunderland. The landlady of our establishment did the Shake but forgot the vac part.

Alan worked with Brian for many years on a professional basis.

We are so sorry that he had so many ordeals in his later years. He was a thoroughly decent bloke. Our thoughts are with his family at this very sad time. Rest in Peace Brian.
